Ticket Buying Options
Buying tickets for a concert at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre @ Encore Park is simple in theory.
However, there are actually a number of different options available for purchasing tickets, some of which can
yield a cheaper ticket price than others. Here are your options:
OPTION 1: TicketMaster
TicketMaster is the online and outlet source for tickets at Encore Park (and almost all other venues nationwide).
The following is a list of upcoming events at Encore Park currently available for purchase at TicketMaster:
OPTION 2: Box Office - Usually the CHEAPEST option
Encore Park has a Box Office that is supposed to be open every day; if you are in the Alpharetta area and can stop by the Amphitheatre you have a good chance at getting the best deal by buying directly at the box office.
The Box office sells tickets for a flat $5 fee per ticket ($3 per ticket for ASO concerts) and no per-order surcharge (unlike TicketMaster).
A parking pass is included with your purchase. Except for the occasional cheapest tickets (such as $9.71 ticketmaster online-only special promotions), buying tickets at the box office
is almost always cheaper than buying online due to the lower surcharges.
Box Office Hours:
- M-F: NOON to 4pm
- SAT: 10am to 2pm
- Day of Event: Closes 30 minutes after headliner takes the stage
Box Office Location:
The box office is located at the East Side of the Venue, using the main entrance on Encore Parkway:
OPTION 3: 10 Things your Ticket Broker Isn't Telling You
The reseller market for tickets is enormous, with seemingly everyone trying to get a cut on ticket markup.
Before you consider purchasing tickets on the reseller market (see Option 4 below), be sure to read Smart Money's article:
OPTION 4: Ticket Brokers
There are more resellers than actual tickets that go on sale for any given concert.
None of these resellers would be in business if you would have gotten your act together
and gotten the tickets when they went on sale and/or you would realize that sitting in the pit is a want
instead of a need.
However, if you still have to get your tickets "now" irregardless of the markup, here are a few of the more notorious popular ticket resellers:
OPTION 5: Last Minute
It happens; someone gets called out of town a week before they were going to the concert and just need to get rid of the tickets.
The best place with the highest probability of finding reasonably priced tickets, many times at or below face value, is craigslist.
In addition, many times for sold-out concerts, tickets are released within the last few days of the show, or even just at the box office the night of the show.
Check the ticketmaster.com links above the last few days up to the day of the show to see if more tickets have been released.
